The W.A.T.E.R. (Water Awareness Through Education & Recreation) Festival at River Legacy Living Science Center aims to promote water awareness through family fun activities, games and demonstrations. Participants will walk away with an appreciation for the water around them and how they can do their part to protect and conserve this precious resource. Ongoing activities include The Incredible Journey, H2O challenge, Invertebrate Investigations, Pond Sampling, Water Music, Water Color Painting, Fish Printing and More. |

Special Instructions: A processing fee of $5 is required with the Scholarship Application (non-refundable).
This scholarship program offers scholarships that can be used to register children for any Arlington Parks & Recreation Department structured youth program.

Join the East Arlington Branch Library each week to explore in an environment that nurtures your child with a wide variety of experiences that will help your baby or toddler with language acquisition and pre-literacy skills. Have fun with nursery rhymes, free play, and songs.
These classes are designed for parents with babies and toddlers. Parents must participate with their child.

Held over by popular demand, the interactive The Science of Spying exhibit gives eager spy-wannabes of all ages an opportunity to experience the latest spy gadgets and techniques - including remote-control spy planes, night-vision goggles, biometric scanning, infiltrating computer systems and the dolphin spy camera. They also learn how to detect liars, crack safes and find hidden clues. Visitors begin to find out about the plans of the shadowy organization OSTECK, follow the clues to uncover the secret location of its HQ and then escape using their wits.

Toddler TimeDottie Lynn Recreation CenterThis is a great toddler activity time.

Admission Fees: $1 fee per session
Bring your toddlers and play inside with mats, hula hoops, slides and much more. This is a great time for your toddler to interact with other toddlers and different toys.

Come and trade your old library card in for a free MyCard. If this is your first card, go to any library location with your parent or guardian and fill out an application in person.
Great things are happening at the Arlington Public Library. They want all youth in grades 7-12 and attending school in Arlington to have their own MyCard, the new card just for teens.
This card gives you access to free books, movies and more. Save money by showing your MyCard at local participating businesses. Each month select businesses will offer a discount at their location.
